To keep the community valuable for everyone, we ask all members to follow these rules.

1. Core Principles

• Respect & Kindness — Treat every member with respect. No personal attacks, harassment, discrimination, or toxic behavior. Disagreements are welcome, but keep them civil and constructive.
• Honesty & Transparency — Always be truthful. If you have any affiliation (affiliate links, employment, partnership, or financial interest) with a hosting provider, domain registrar, or service you mention, you must clearly disclose it.
• No Spam or Self-Promotion — Do not post promotional affiliate links, advertisements, or repetitive offers outside the dedicated Marketplace & Services category.
• Quality Over Quantity — Low-effort posts (one-liner questions, “DM me”, vague complaints) may be removed. Provide context and details when posting.

2. Posting Guidelines

• Use clear and descriptive titles (e.g., “My 6-month experience with SiteGround in 2026 – Pros & Cons” or “[Offering] WordPress Migration & Optimization Service – Indonesia Based”).
• When asking for help, include relevant details: your current hosting provider, plan type, what you’ve already tried, error messages, and your goal.
• Avoid off-topic posts. Use the correct category (see "3. Category Guide").
• In Marketplace & Services:
• • Start titles with [Offering] or [Requesting].
• • Clearly state scope of work, rates (if applicable), timeline, and terms.
• • No vague “DM for details” posts — give enough information for members to decide whether to engage.

3. Category Guide – Where to Post

• Announcements — Official news, new articles, policy updates, and important information from the HostingFeed team. Staff-only posting.
• General Discussion — Casual conversations, opinions, and broad topics about hosting and domains.
• Hosting Reviews & Experiences — Honest reviews, performance reports, uptime stories, and real-user experiences with hosting providers.
• Technical Help & Troubleshooting — Ask for or offer help with technical issues: migrations, speed problems, security, control panels, errors, etc.
• Domains & Registration — Domain registration, transfers, pricing, TLD strategies, branding, and new gTLD discussions.
• Trends & Insights — Discussions about AI in hosting, green/sustainable hosting, edge computing, market shifts, and future industry trends.
• Marketplace & Services — Offer or request paid/unpaid services such as hosting setup, migrations, website development, domain management, SEO, reselling, or consulting.
• Rules here: Clear titles, disclose rates/affiliations, no spam.
• Use Cases & Specific Needs — Targeted discussions for WordPress, eCommerce, small businesses, developers, agencies, or regional users.
• Off-Topic / Lounge — Relaxed chat, introductions, memes, or non-hosting topics. Keep it friendly and respectful.

4. Prohibited Content

• Spam, advertising, or excessive self-promotion outside Marketplace
• Hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory language
• Sharing illegal content or encouraging illegal activities
• Deliberate misinformation or fake reviews
• Excessive bumping of old threads without adding value
• Politics or highly controversial topics unrelated to hosting/domains

5. Enforcement & Consequences

• Moderators will enforce these rules fairly and consistently.
• First minor violation → Warning + possible post removal.
• Repeated or serious violations → Temporary mute, post bans, or permanent account suspension.
• Appeals can be sent via private message to moderators.
